Upper Bracket finals were on the cards today at OGA Dota PIT Season 2: Europe/CIS as Team Nigma battle up against Alliance with the two teams hoping to secure the first grand final spot at the event.

After we saw the elimination of both Natus Vincere and VP.Prodigy from OGA Dota PIT Season 2: EU/CIS, it was time for some upper bracket action and the two mighty teams fighting it out for a spot in the grand final today would be Nigma and Alliance. Both teams were currently unbeaten at the event, but in past tournaments, Nigma were definitely the ones who seemed to be the better of the two. However, today would be far different with a guaranteed top two finish on the cards for the victor.

Nigma seemed to have complete control of game one, absolutely controlling the middle lane with Omar ‘w33’ Aliwi’s Bat Rider and ruining Linus ‘Limmp’ Blomdin’s Lina game in the early period. But thanks to Gustav ‘s4’ Magnusson’s Magnus as well as an unkillable and unstoppable Slark from Nikolay ‘Nikobaby’ Nikolov, Alliance turned everything around and destroy Nigma as the game progressed – claiming a solid first game victory.

However, Nigma were not about to give up the series and a possible grand final spot as they dominated game two, never allowing a single member of the Alliance squad to have even an inch of space around the map. By 20-minutes, Nigma were already up by 36 kills to a measly 9 and held a 17,000 net worth lead, with no hope in sight for their opponent and just a few minutes later, the GG was called. With their victory, Nigma looked completely set to march forward into the grand finals as they gave no hope to Alliance in game three.

From start to finish, it was all Nigma, even though Limmp’s mid-lane Kunkka looked fairly promising in the early game. It took only 28-minutes for the GG call to come out as Nigma would move into the grand finals, while Alliance would fall into the tomorrows lower bracket final, with their opponent to be decided in the next series between FlyToMoon and OG.
