Team Nigma will play at least for the opening series of OGA Dota PIT Season 2: Europe and CIS competition without their captain, Kuro “KuroKy” Takhasomi.
According to the announcement made by the team a day before the completion is bound to start, KuroKy is currently unable to play as he is recovering from an arm injury. No details were given about the injury nor it was announced if Kuro will be able to join his teammates later in the competition or not.
Until his return, Team Nigma will play with their coach, Roman “rmN-” Paley. The first series for Nigma is scheduled for tomorrow, July 27 at 20:00 CEST/11:00 PDT against FlyToMoon. The two teams will go head to head for a spot into the OGA Dota PIT Season 2 semifinals.
Team Nigma is not the only one that will enter the battle for the title with a stand-in. Earlier this month Ninjas in Pyjamas kicked their captain, Akbar “SoNNeikO” Butaev but haven’t signed a new player as of yet. Therefore, they will play with Evil Geniuses’ Andreas “Cr1t-” Nielsen standing in, most likely assuming the position 4 support. OG will also play in a different formula as the event will mark Sébastien “Ceb” Debs’ return to the competitive play after seven months of retirement.
